Man, this place hit the spot. Burger was about as good as I've ever had. Very flavorful and cooked to perfection!
Fries were excellent. Perfect crunch and good seasoning. Well done. Can't wait to try something else. -

Tried BTB for the 1st time last night for date night as I heard many great things about it but wasn't really impressed. The menu had tons of options so we opted for The Route 66 and The Pickle Your Fancy. The food came out fairly quickly and was hot. I noticed that my burger (The Pickle Your Fancy) only had 4 small fried pickles on it. I guess I expected more if it was going to be on a burger but it was fine. The burger itself really lacked flavor and the bacon seemed old and chewy. My husband ordered The Route 66 and wasn't impressed either. There was a lack of BBQ sauce on a "BBQ burger"and again the burger itself lacked flavor. The fries were crispy but seems like there was way too much seasoning salt but I'd say pretty good overall. Our server was quite nice and checked on us a few times without being overbearing. Price was what I would consider normal but not too pricey and the atmosphere was good as well.
We did notice that there really was no getting away from the sun and no shades on the lower sections of the windows (that we could see anyway). We weren't the only ones left feeling a little warm and noticed other diners requesting to move. -

Between The Bun is a great relaxed environment for a casual night-out for a solid burger with friends or family. On my wife and I's visit we were celebrating a friend of our's birthday.
One of the first things I noticed when we walked in was how open the whole place felt. There were floor to ceiling windows which helped breathe life into the whole building, plenty of natural light in the room, making you feel as if you could be enjoying a tasty burger outside, but while enjoying the comfort of air conditioning :)
I got to enjoy the PB&J (peanut butter and jalapeños) burger and it exceeded my expectations. With bacon, jalapeños, cheese, maple syrup, and peanut butter making up your main ingredients you would think you would be in for a weird mixture. Together, however, they blend to give your mouth a warm, peanut butter on pancakes with homemade maple syrup on Saturday morning, hug. Their fries were also surprisingly good with plenty of seasoning, and they paired well with their chipotle ranch/horsey sauce.
The only reason this review is a 4-star review and not a 5-star review is because of the wait staff. Our waitress in particular made it seem like anything we asked of her was a chore. When I asked for a chipotle ranch/horsey sauce to have with my fries, she didn't respond to me, but she rolled her eyes and sighed. I wasn't even sure if I was going to get what I asked for. We had 10 people in our party, and 9 of us had burgers. With each order of a burger, the waitress would just ask, "Medium well okay?" and we would have to correct her with how we wanted it cooked. This happened every single time one of us ordered a burger. And with four kids and a baby at our table it made ordering a hassle. It is far easier to just ask how someone wants their burger cooked than to answer that question for them.
TL;DR - Great casual place for a solid burger, lots of windows (a positive thing in their case). Some wait staff were annoying and difficult. -

Between the Bun was between awesome and delicious. The drive down to this burger spot was well worth it. We started off with the fried pickles. This appetizer is one of their homemade recipes consisting of crunchy, salty and sour. The breading was not soggy and the dipping sauce was the perfect accompaniment. The wife and I both ordered the Crunch Burger. Our server advised us to order it medium well. This sandwich lived up to its namesake: Gouda Cheese, French onion dip sauce, potatoe chips and crispy bacon on the burger. The fries were seasoned with paprika, brown sugar and sea salt. Overall, this was a pretty good dining experience.

Oh! My! Goodness!!! I have lived 25-min away from this place for 7 years & I have been missing out the whole time!!! It's conveniently located off 465 and Southport Rd. There is a small parking area and the place was busy on Sat night so we parked kind of far away. I was pretty excited to find that they have a really cute outdoor patio seating area. (We'll definitely be back to try that when it's cooler outside!) There is also indoor table and high top seating, no boothes. A hostess greets you to be seated. There is a fireplace in the center that likely creates a pleasant ambiance in the winter. I was also super excited to see that a band started setting up right after we arrived!!! I love live music! (Unfortunately we left before the live music started.)
Let's get into the MOUTHWATERING menu! This place is not your ordinary burger joint. My family and I loved all the crazy options. I'm talking mac 'n cheese, cookie butter, chips, so many different cheeses, & bacon everything! There is definitely something for everyone. Oh, & "The Mixed Bag" appetizer is the way to go! We got to sample the mozzarella sticks, bacon cheese fries, & pretzel bites. I love me some pretzel bites & these did not disappoint with their fluffy salty goodness!
I ordered the "The Spitfire Ranch Burger" and it was no joke! If you do not like spicy food, this burger is NOT for you. My mouth was on fire! Good thing I had tasty tots on the side to help chase that fire away! Not only was the burger dressed well, the meat itself tasted scrumptious all by itself.
My husband ordered the "The Sevin Bacon Burger" & completely destroyed it. He's a bit of a burger snob and this burger will definitely keep him coming back for more. All that cheese & bacon!! It was a beautiful thing!
My 13-yo daughter who is usually a plain-cheeseburger-kind-of-girl opted for the "BBQ Pulled Pork Mac n Cheese." It was HUGE! Really, all the burgers are huge and a hot mess to eat so be prepared to roll up your sleeves. She had to cut it in half & smash it down a bit to be able to get her mouth around it. To our surprise, our picky eater approved!
Overall, we had a fun experience on our first visit here. Narrowing down an order from all the crazy options, and then passing samples around the table was a blast! Even our teenager stayed off her phone while being entertained with our laughs and actual human interaction. Bonus! Lol!!!
Don't miss out like I have all this time! Take your family, friends, & 2nd dates over to Between the Bun! (1st dates beware that you'll be smashing huge delicious dripping burgers in your face, but maybe he/she is into that!) Lol!!
